One of Charlie's symptoms that led to the discovery of his condition was a cough. When he breathes you can here crackling and congestion in his chest, and every few breathes he will cough. Since his pacemaker implant, he still has this cough, but more intermittently. His local vet as well as his implant surgeon have both listened to Charlie's lungs, and taken x-rays looking for congestion. There are no visible signs, and the lungs are clear. However, the cough remains. Another Video with more intense coughing (not exerted)
And finally, the dreadful "Gakking". This is usually the end of the coughing episode.
(Not the best footage - but you will get the idea)
**PLEASE NOTE** - All though this video may appear otherwise, Charlie is healthy,
happy, and doing quiet well. He is not in any distress during his coughing. The reason he is laying down is because he had been playing with his toys, not because he collapsed or was having a seizure. |
